How we work

We provide information to help you compare, choose and apply for insurance online and over the phone. Choosi isn’t an insurer. We work with a range of popular insurance brands, so we can make their policies available to you.

Our experienced staff get a kick out of helping people, and we hold the necessary Australian Financial Services Licence to simplify the process and let you buy insurance in just a few minutes from reputable Australian insurers.

We are paid a commission for products bought through Choosi. Our commission does NOT affect the premium you pay for products issued through Choosi. For more information on how we are paid, please read our Financial Services Guide.

No, your premiums do not go up as a result of making a claim for products available directly through Choosi. For Life, Income Protection, Funeral and Pet insurance, check the Product Disclosure Statement of the Policy you are interested in for more information about premium pricing.
For Life and Income Protection insurance you will need to declare this when applying, you will then need to undergo the underwriting process which will assess whether or not you can be insured.
You can cancel your Policy at any time. Each policy has a cooling off period, if you cancel your policy within the cooling off period you will be refunded the premiums you have paid in full. If you cancel cover after the cooling off period generally there is no refund of premiums or benefit payable.
For Life and Income Protection Insurance you will need to declare this when you are applying, you will then need to undergo the underwriting process which will assess whether or not you can be insured.
For policies available through Choosi, the insurer can only take payments from a personal bank account.

Where requested by you, Choosi can provide access to other life, income protection and funeral insurance brands by referring you to a third-party partner. The home & contents and car insurance products available are issued and distributed by Compare the Market Pty Ltd (ABN 83 117 323 378; AFSL 422926). The business insurance products available are arranged by BizCover Pty Ltd (ABN 68 127 707 975; AFSL No 501769). If you choose to purchase these products, Choosi will refer you to the appropriate partner. If you purchase a product as a result of a referral, Choosi will receive a fee or commission, depending on the partner you’re referred to.

Choosi has commercial relationships with all insurers that are available for comparison. Choosi obtains a commission from the insurer for arranging any insurance you choose to buy.
